Additional Information
Baffin’s name was chosen through an online poll and is named for Baffin Island.
Apparently orphaned, it was decided that Baffin could not be rehabilitated and released back into the wild as he had become habituated to food taken from human garbage. Nevertheless, his transfer to Winnipeg, and that of an unrelated female cub (Willow), caused controversy in Churchill.
