Additional Information

Taiga is the Russian word for the boreal forest.

Taiga was staying temporarily at Cochrane whilst the habitat at Aquarium du Québec, Sainte-Foy was being and modernised.  The death was sudden and unexpected.  Following a necropsy Quebec Aquarium revelaed that the cause of death was pneumonia, which had happened in other institutions before, but never in Cochrane or Quebec.  You  can read more here (opens in new window).
