New Bear Species

Unlikely though it may seem these two examples of a new species of bear were photographed on the island of Capri, Italy.

Provisionally named as Ursus steiffus it is not known if the two differing colours indicate two subspecies or simply a white-phase pelage similar to that found in the Kermode bear.

Clearly the white bear is not an albino form as he has black eyes.  Both bears are thought to be young males.
